What is a TOTM?
Basically, a TOTM (which obiously stands for Theater of the Mind) is an episode commentary. They aren't really summaries, because they just comment on everything from Scully's hair to Mulder's shoes. They were created in an effort to CtP (or Cherish the Past), in response to a challenge posed by Amy on the old Haven 'shipper boards. It was first responded to by Paula Graves, and since then several other writers have since tried their hand at it, most prominently, Polly.

What do all these acronyms mean?
Here's a list of the acronyms introduced and other commonly used ones:
TOTM Theatre of the Mind
TWC Totally Worthless Commentary. Commentary of a purely lewd, lascivious, and/or lustful nature, generally regarding Agent Mulder and the state of his hair, eyes, glasses, physique, general appearance, Speedos, boxers, clothing, bulges, footwear, etc., etc.; although TWC can also be directed at other characters including Scully, Skinner, Krycek, et al.
HFC Holy Flaming Cow. The moment in each episode when Agent Mulder looks his absolute finest.
MSRM Mulder Scully Relationship Moment. Beginning with Season 4 TOTMs, just a reminder that the relationship is out there . . . you just have to know where to look.

Who runs this site?
My name's Sandee and I maintain this site. I don't write any of the TOTMs, but I certainly enjoy them. :) This site is hosted on Gubblebum by the kind Shiricki.

Disclaimer
Concept by Amy, Paula & Polly.
The X-Files, Mulder, Scully and/or all related entities do not belong to us but to Fox, 1013 Productions, Chris Carter and probably David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson and the other wonderful actors that made all the characters their very own.
